The Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre (HPC) is set to launch the much-awaited 5th edition of the Odisha Naval Tata Hockey Grassroot League Championship 2025 (Phase 1) from 3rd June to 10th June 2025. This exciting grassroots-level tournament will be held simultaneously at two key venues — Chatrapur and Bonai — and promises to be a grand platform for the best young hockey players across the state.

Bringing Together Odisha’s Finest Young Players

This flagship event is designed to nurture and promote young hockey athletes from across Odisha, uniting 34 training centers representing various districts. The competition will spotlight rising stars in the Under-16 Boys and Girls categories, offering them a valuable opportunity to compete at a higher level and gain crucial exposure.

The tournament is organized under the aegis of the Hockey Ace Foundation, in collaboration with the Sports & Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha. Their combined effort reflects a strong commitment to building a sustainable sports ecosystem and fostering sporting excellence in the state.

Tournament Details

• Participating Centers: 34 (17 at each venue)

Competition Format

Each venue will host 17 matches, where teams are grouped strategically to ensure competitive and thrilling hockey action. Only the top teams from each group will advance to the Final Phase, which will be hosted at the prestigious Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.

A total of 8 Boys’ teams and 8 Girls’ teams will qualify for the Final Phase. The final competition will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each for both boys and girls, promising intense matchups and an exhilarating finale.
