The Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre (ONTHHPC) proudly celebrates yet another milestone as six of its talented cadets have been selected to represent India at the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2026, scheduled to be held in Moqi, China, from 30 August to 13 September 2026.

Leading the contingent is Anmol Ekka, who has been entrusted with the responsibility of captaining the Indian team. Joining him are fellow ONTHHPC cadets Vivek Lakra, Rohit Kullu, Adrohit Ekka, Sanjit Tirkey, and Aryan Xaxa, reflecting the Centre’s continued commitment to nurturing world-class hockey talent.

The selection of six players from a single High Performance Centre is a testament to the robust athlete development ecosystem at the Odisha Naval Tata Hockey HPC. Through structured coaching, scientific training, performance analysis, and holistic player development, the Centre continues to produce athletes capable of excelling on the international stage.

Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Gurmeet Singh Rao, Project Director, Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre, said:

The Men’s Junior Asia Cup serves as one of Asia’s premier junior hockey competitions, bringing together the continent’s best young talent. The tournament also plays a significant role in preparing athletes for future international competitions and strengthening India’s hockey pipeline.
